Pet ownership has evolved—especially among Millennials and Gen Z, who increasingly see pets as family. Post-pandemic, adoption rates soared and emotional bonds deepened, yet many pet parents still miss a key piece of care: vaccinations. This “love-action gap” became our strategic insight—despite pampering pets with treats and birthday parties, protection against lifestyle diseases was often overlooked.

To spark awareness, we created Wag Stats, a campaign rooted in data and emotion. A national survey of over 3,000 pet owners uncovered fun, relatable stats that drew people in—then delivered impactful information about the importance of pet vaccinations in a way that felt approachable and nonjudgmental.

Design played a central role in delivering these insights. The visual identity for Wag Stats was built around a flexible infographic system—anchored in a warm, expressive color palette and clear typographic hierarchy. This system extended across all campaign assets, ensuring consistency while keeping the tone friendly, informative and emotionally resonant.

The infographic became our north star, telling the full story in a single, scrollable experience. Built on a flexible design system, it served as the foundation for all campaign assets, making complex insights feel simple, relatable and shareable.

Next, we created a landing page that all assets directed to. It mirrored the narrative of the infographic in a more succinct format, guiding users through key insights before ending with clear, actionable steps pet owners could take to help protect their pets from Lyme disease and leptospirosis.

Now that we had both an infographic and landing page, we needed a way to spread the word. Social media was the perfect platform to amplify the message. By repurposing our illustrations and stats, we applied them to static carousels, posts and stories—along with eye-catching animations—to capture attention and drive engagement with pet owners.

Once the word was out, we wanted to equip both pet owners and veterinarians with tools to collaborate in educating others about the dangers of Lyme and leptospirosis. These tools included a graphic with conversation starters that pet owners could screenshot and bring to their vet visits, as well as a double-sided Wag Stats information sheet to ensure veterinarians were fully informed about the campaign.
